Well, it has been a while and I have been an exceptionally horrible blogger. I have kept up on everyone else's blogs, but not my own. Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately! June 23, 2009 - Matt and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Matt took me to Pappa's Steakhouse and it was yummy!

She's praying we will get her out of her swing soon! She can't see the TV from the swing and she loves the TV!

I went back to work this week which was a blessing! We are so happy to have a great sitter for Taylor! I am happy to be getting back into the swing of things at work. I'm only working three days a week so I still have time to do house stuff and enjoy Taylor growing up! I promise to keep up with the blogging a little better!

Lake Cherokee

We spent a weekend at Lake Cherokee with Grandma and Grandpa! We drove up to the lake on Saturday morning and Taylor slept the entire way! Such a great baby to travel with, she loves the car most of the time. So much fun! Here are some pictures of the weekend!

Random stuff...

Taylor had her 2 month check up and shots last month! I know my blogging is behind! She weighed 9lbs 14oz!! She got a few shots and the doctor says she is doing GREAT! She is sleeping between 6-8hours a night on a regular basis and eating 6oz every 4hrs!! It is so much fun to see her growing up and smiling!! We are enjoying every minute!


I had Matt take Taylor to work with him after her shots and I went and got my hair cut! Here is a picture after the first cut!! After the weekend, I didn't think it was short enough, so I got it cut again....no pictures of that yet, but now I'm thinking I should have stuck with the first cut and not gone any shorter, oh well...hair grows!!


I dressed up Taylor and took some more pictures. It is just hard to get her to smile and take a good picture at the same time. Here are a few I took in her red polka dot dress and big red bow!

Memorial Day!

Taylor had a great Memorial Day Weekend. We spent most of the days at Lake Conroe with Nana and Papa on their boat. She loved it (we think)! She slept a lot and just relaxed. Here are some pictures of the weekend.

David and Anna's Baby Shower!

David and Anna (Matt's brother and his fiance) had their baby shower last month! We had so much fun meeting all of Anna's family! They really enjoyed Taylor also. I know they are as excited for David and Anna as we are! Anna is due the end of July (along with another one of Matt's brother's)....I swear my mother-in-law, who I love, placed a pregnancy spell on all of us, and it worked great, all the cousins are going to have so much fun!! Taylor will have 3 cousins within 4 months in age!! Here are some pictures of Taylor at brunch in her Easter PJ's (they didn't fit at Easter, so we saved them and wore them when they did fit)!!

Mother's Day, Belly Buttons, and Birthday Party!

My first Mother's Day was perfect. I actually got a whole weekend full of fun! My very talented daughter made me waffles with strawberries and whip cream on Saturday morning!! Her wonderful dad might have helped a little.

On Sunday morning we had the Wilcox's for brunch. Matt and his brother's made waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage for all the women!!! And on Sunday night, Joni and I brought dinner to Mom and Dad's. We had BBQ from Kirby's in Magnolia..it is the best!

Taylor also has now FINALLY lost her umbilical cord. It only took almost 7 weeks. I even took a picture to prove it!! She has a very cute belly button I must say so myself!!

Abby turned two the end of last month and she had a pool party to celebrate. Here is her brother, Johnny, and Taylor snoozing in his bassinet! I know it is bad of me, but I didn't get any pictures of the party itself...I was enjoying the sun and watching the kiddos swim!

Taylor's Room

Here are a couple pictures of Taylor's Room. She started sleeping in her own bed at about six weeks. It is going well! She wakes up every four hours to eat and goes right back down to sleep. Saturday night she even slept 6 hours!! Hasn't done it since, but we look forward to the day that she does.

Great Weekend!!

This past weekend was very busy for us! We went down to see the Boyd's for Seth's first birthday party on Saturday! It was a pool party, but Taylor couldn't swim because her umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet...yes I know, babies are supposed to lose those things in the first 2-3 weeks and she is now 6 weeks old. I think it just reminds her of her old "home" and she won't let it go! Anyway, Seth had a great time!

Saturday night we went to Nana and Papa's house to see my Aunt and Uncle and cousins. It was their first time to meet Taylor. They were on their way back from vacation and decided to stop in Houston for a few days to see us!! It was great to see them and hear all about their trip to Australia. We hope to see them this summer again at the yearly family reunion!
I've been lucky to be able to keep Alex a few Monday mornings since I haven't been working. Here is everyone toward the end of the morning...sleeping!! Even Winnie decided to take a nap! Notice the dirty diaper, empty bottle, yogurt container, etc....I was too busy playing to clean anything up!
